apiary FAQs

Have any questions?
Ask away.

How do you ensure safety in the apiary?
Safety is our top priority. Full bee suits are provided and must be worn in the apiary. Closed-toe shoes are required, and guests with exposed skin will not be allowed into the bee yard. The apiary visit is optional — if you prefer not to participate, you’re still welcome to enjoy the sensory tasting, educational discussions, and indoor portions of the event.

Is this suitable for children?
Yes — families are welcome! That said, the experience is designed for adults and children aged 4–12 who are curious and comfortable around nature. The tour includes in-depth discussions about bees, biology, and tasting sessions, as well as standing outdoors for a period of time. We encourage you to consider your child’s interest and attention span. Feel free to contact us — we have kids, too, and are happy to help!

Do you offer private tours or group bookings?
Yes! We offer private events for families, small groups, schools, and other organizations. Please contact us directly to schedule a custom experience.

What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are required. Hats and sunscreen are recommended, especially in the warmer months. Bee suits will be provided for the apiary portion of the tour.

Is the event accessible?
Accessibility depends on the location. Some outdoor areas are on uneven terrain. Please reach out to us in advance so we can advise and accommodate your needs.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, advance booking is required so we can prepare for your visit and keep the group small for a better experience.

What languages do you speak?
Our experiences are offered in both English and Greek. Let us know if you’d like translation or special arrangements.

Can I buy honey or other products on-site?
Yes, after your tour or workshop you’ll have the opportunity to purchase fresh, local honey and handmade bee products.

Do you accommodate food allergies?
If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance. Many of our tastings feature natural ingredients like honey and herbs, and we’ll do our best to adjust where possible.

What do guests take home?
Each workshop participant leaves with their handmade item — whether a candle, balm, or other craft — plus new knowledge and a deeper appreciation of bees and nature.

Is there parking available?
Yes, free parking is available near the apiary.

What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 7 days before your scheduled experience for a full refund (minus transaction fees). Within 7 days, you may receive credit toward another date within the same year. No-shows are charged in full. If we cancel or reschedule an event due to weather or other issues, you’ll receive a full refund or be offered a new date.
